The Sunday Knicker Review: La Senza Showoff Flyaway Babydoll
The original idea with this blog was that I'd be reviewing beauty products and lingerie. This was because I want to blog about anything that makes me look and feel better. Somewhere along the way I got a bit shy and decided to tame down the lingerie reviews to items that were both practical and pretty and not overtly sexual. This week, just for a change and because I'm in a risque kind of mood, I want to review something that is really just worn to be seen and removed.
The item to your right is La Senza's Showoff Flyaway Babydoll. I went into the store looking for bras to review and this immediately caught my eye because it was so pretty. It's a gorgeous aqua colour, although it doesn't show up as exactly the same colour in the photographs as it is in reality. It's much more green than the pictures suggest. It's trimmed with beautiful black lace and the cups are designed to push up but aren't heavily wired.
It has adjustable straps, which should really be standard on garments like this but it's surprising how many brands don't cater for girls who are shorter/taller than average and need a different strap length. The other good thing about this item is the push-up effect. Considering it's a babydoll and not a bra I didn't have high hopes in that department but it's had a spectacular effect on my cleavage. Definitely recommended if, like me, you're on the small side and babydolls don't usually flatter you.
Other than that, there really isn't much I can say about this product. It is what it is. It's one of the most comfortable babydoll's I've worn and even the panties, which are quite skimpy, were a dream to wear. I could quite happily lounge around in this - but where's the fun in that?
It's priced at £40, which is steep for an item that you wear for minutes at a time but it's worth paying a little bit extra for the comfort.
